Counseling
At the Oasis Center, our on-site team of counselors is highly experienced in meeting the needs of youth and families in crisis. Our counselors address a variety of issues including general family issues, educational difficulties, peer pressure, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, homelessness, runaway behavior, teen pregnancy, depression, and suicide ideation. Oasis Center’s counseling services are offered on a sliding fee scale. Counseling services are provided free of charge to all Oasis clients in our residential and outreach programs.
Our counseling staff helps our clients address the crisis at hand, and they also help them identify and develop positive relationships and connections in their own community that can help them avoid further crisis situations.
Upon exit, 95% of our young people in counseling identified that they were more engaged in positive relationships with caring adults in their community than before receiving services.
